Construction Technology Program Instructor

The following position is available for the 2025-2026 school year:
 
Construction Technology Program Instructor
 
This position is a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in Career Technical Education. This position educates junior and/or senior career tech students and requires a licensed teacher to train and prepare students to be successful in their post-secondary education or job placement. The Construction Technology Instructor will provide students with the opportunity to earn valuable technical skills that prepare them for Technical and professional level careers in designing, planning, managing, building and maintaining commercial, industrial and residential structures and infrastructures.  This instructor will assume responsibility for the delivery of quality education in a combined education and work experience program for students engaged in the Construction Technology program.  
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience and knowledge of designing, planning, managing, building and maintaining commercial, industrial and residential structures and infrastructures
  • Five years’ work experience in the field of construction
  • Effective and demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills
Requirements:
  • Valid licensure through the Ohio Department of Education in Career Technical Education in the Field of Construction Technology or ability to attain or hold appropriate teaching license.
  • Willingness and ability to work with students, parents, teachers, business partners, and administrators as a team member
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not required; must meet the Ohio Department of Education Alternate License requirements
  • Ohio school van driver certification or willingness to obtain such certification
  • Complete any and all Ohio Department of Education requirements, as needed.
  • Must pass all required background checks including but not limited to FBI, BCI
  • Complete a Career Technical Education Licensure Program in a timely manner as required.
