Fifth Grade Band and Orchestra Registration (ALL FOURTH GRADE STUDENTS ARE WELCOME)

Required Band Meeting

When: April 23, 2025, 7:00-8:00 PM

Where: Greenville Middle School - Room 336

*The orchestra will not have a meeting this year.

To become members of our school band and orchestra complete the online questionnaire by scanning the QR Code in the registration flyer above.

Band and Orchestra students will have class every day all year AND will have gym and art in their schedules. Math, Science, and LA classes are not missed.

ALL Band and Orchestra Classes meet DURING the school day in grades 5-12.

Our Band program continues to build on a reputation of excellence. In 2017, the GMS Concert Band performed as a featured ensemble in Cleveland, OH at the Ohio Music Education Association’s Annual Conference. A first for a Greenville Band.

Our band students continually are involved in the GMS Jazz Band, Honor Bands at O.S.U., B.G.S.U., and W.S.U., Festival Performances at Wright State and Kings Island, and receive the highest ratings at OMEA Adjudicated events.

Orchestra students have opportunities to perform in string only ensembles.

As they progress through school, many of our orchestra students are members of the Dayton Junior Strings and Dayton Junior Philharmonic Orchestras.
