Greenville City Schools Parents.
As many of you may have heard, there is currently a large measles outbreak in central Ohio. There are currently no local cases.
The Darke Co Health Dept requested that all schools distribute this information to parents of any unvaccinated students. However, it is being sent to all parents in the district. They are sending out text message reminders to individuals in the county who are due for their MMR vaccine, so some families may receive a text also.
Ohio Department of Health states:
“Persons who continue to be exempted from or who refuse measles vaccination should be excluded from the school, child care, or other institutions until 21 days after rash onset in the last case of measles.”
If there should be a case in Greenville Schools, any unvaccinated students will be required to stay home until 21 days after the last student with measles developed a rash.
