Message from Superintendent Julie Jones

GREENVILLE CITY SCHOOLS COMMUNITY,

Another successful year has come to a close, and I continue to be inspired by what makes Greenville City Schools special— our students, our staff and community that believes in the value of public education.

Throughout the year, we saw our mission come to life across the district. From the learning happening in our classrooms to the opportunities students are experiencing in athletics, the arts, leadership and career-focused programs, our focus remains the same: providing a safe, high-quality learning environment that prepares students for college, careers and life.

One example of that commitment is the continued success of the Greenville Career Technology Center. This year, the center earned an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars on the state report card and met all nine federal performance indicators for the second consecutive year. Eighty-one percent of our high school juniors and seniors were connected to a career technical education course or program, gaining hands-on experience and building skills that will serve them long after
graduation.

We also celebrated our Class of 2026 and the many paths our graduates are choosing — from college and career training to military service and entering the workforce. Their success reflects the dedication of our staff, the support of families and the investment of this community.

Inside this newsletter, you’ll find just a snapshot of the learning, leadership, service and achievement happening across our district.

Thank you for your continued support of our schools.

In Partnership,

Julie R. Jones, M.Ed.
